Dr. Dany Tirza

Col. (Res.) Dr. Dany Tirza is an international expert, with a reputation and extensive experience in the field of strategic planning, HLS (Homeland Security), demarcation and border security. 

Known among the public as the chief planner of the “security fence” of Israel that was a key element in stopping Palestinian terrorism between 2000 and 2006 and saved the lives of thousands of people.

Yasser Arafat, the former chairman of the Palestinian Authority, called him “Abu Harita” (“the father of the map”) as part of negotiations with the Palestinians.

“Between 1994 and 2007, he headed the military body that was responsible for strategic and spatial planning in the Central Command and the Judea and Samaria Division. In this framework:
Acquired unique and in-depth spatial knowledge in the field of Judea and Samaria, Jerusalem, and the seam zoon, established and guided the military body for applications of computer geography (GIS) in the field of borders and political agreements.
· Advised Prime Ministers Peres, Netanyahu, Barak, Sharon and Olmert, defense ministers, chiefs of staff and generals in making decisions on territorial and security issues.

He participated in the negotiating delegations with the Palestinians and was responsible for designing the maps in Israeli proposals and political agreements with the Palestinians.
· Participated in strategic think tanks in the Peace Administration in the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Council, the Counter-Terrorism Bureau, the IDF Planning Division, COGAT and more.
· Represented the IDF in discussions in Knesset committees and in various government bodies, including before the US National Security Adviser – Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of State Colin Powell.
· Managed and led the planning, operational characterization and obtaining of statutory approvals for the construction of infrastructure systems that included, among other things, the construction of 182 km of bypass roads in Judea and Samaria, protection components for Israeli localities, deployment and designation of military facilities and civilian infrastructure. And the infrastructure for Palestinian fabric of life.
· Was an IDF representative on the establishment of the SJ district of the Israel Police (1994-1995).

Holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from York University in the United States, M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Riga, Latvia, and B.A in International Relations from Tel Aviv University. Graduated of the IPNP Negotiation Program at Harvard University, USA, and a partner in 7 international IGCC seminars on behalf of the University of California.

As a consultant to the Ministry of Regional Cooperation, he promotes the Israeli side of the Jordan Gateway Industrial Park, which is shared by the two countries – a unique economic project designed to create cooperation and promote peace between the countries and peoples.

He served as an advisor to the American team and prepared the maps of President Trump’s Century Plan published in January 2020.

Serves as a senior security consultant around the world at Cavendish Holdings International, which develops and markets security products, and for Dror Security, a company that specializes in personal security and training of special security forces – and has operated in Africa, Greece, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Bulgaria and more.

Fellow researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research and a member of the institute’s thinking team about East Jerusalem.

Former Chairman of the local committee “Kfar Adumim” and the associations “Kfar Adumim” and “Settlers of Gush Adumim” on a voluntary basis from 2011 to 2019 (approximately 4,800 residents with an annual budget of more than NIS 12 million).

Volunteer at the “Warm Home for Every Soldier” organization, the Association for the Advancement of Education, a friend of the “Kol Ami” preparatory network for Jewish communities, the RRG Beit Midrash for foreign students at the Hebrew University, Beit Giyora for lonely solders.

Dr. Dany Tirza was born in 1958, happily married to Nurit, father of 5 children and grandfather of 5 grandchildren, resident of Kfar Adumim.
